Heat olive oil in a large sauté pan over medium heat. Add shallots and garlic, and cook for 2-3 minutes.
In a large bowl, toss the shrimp with the spices, salt, and pepper. Add them to the pan with the shallots and garlic in a single layer. Cook the shrimp for 2 minutes, flip, and then cook for an additional 2 minutes.
Deglaze the pan with bone broth and lemon juice. Allow the liquid to cook down and reduce for 5 minutes.
Boil Borgatti’s protein pasta for 3 minutes, then drain. Add the pasta to the pan with the shrimp, along with the butter and chopped parsley. Toss to combine.
Serve with additional lemon and parsley for garnish.
After the holidays, if you’re looking for lighter yet satisfying options, this spiced shrimp scampi sauce, paired with Borgatti’s Protein Pasta, offers a delicious, nutritious, and satisfying meal. It serves as a healthier and lighter alternative to traditional scampi.
Our Protein Pasta, made by combining chickpea flour with our famous egg pasta recipe, is designed to provide more protein than our traditional egg pasta. Chickpeas are an excellent source of fiber and plant-based protein, making this pasta a meal plan-friendly option with lower net carbs and high fiber.
Shrimp, high in protein yet low in calories, are tossed with cayenne, turmeric, and cumin, not only enhancing flavor but also offering a range of benefits from their unique compounds and nutrients. Instead of the traditional white wine in scampi sauce, we’ve substituted bone broth for a nutritional boost and deeper flavor.
The rich flavors of this spiced shrimp scampi sauce complement the Protein Pasta perfectly, making it an excellent choice for those aiming to maintain a healthier lifestyle without sacrificing taste!
